Day 2 in the books!

Demographic form packages were sent home today. Please correct any misinformation and return the blue forms as soon as possible. All white forms are for your information and to be kept at home. Our class challenge is to bring them all back tomorrow... good luck!

Yesterday we started reading the book "What do you do with a problem?" by Kobi Yamada. Today we read it again. Some of the things we learned were:

  • If you ignore the problem, it gets bigger (Maddox)
  • The more you think about a problem, the bigger it gets (Laith & Kohde)
  • You have to face it! (Aaron)
  • The more you try to hide it, it finds you! (Ibrahim)
  • Some problems have solutions. (Stone)
  • It's not what you think it is! (Sawyer)
  • The more you attack it, then it will go away. (Alivia)
  • If you're scared about the problem, it will get even more bigger. (Jaxon)

Every problem has an opportunity for something good. You just have to look for it.

We talked about types of problems that we have (Celina). We noticed that we mostly had similar types of problems, such as problems with siblings or friends, losing or breaking things, or sleeping problems. This made us feel less alone knowing that other people have the same types of problems as we do.

Highlights from today:

  • We did art by taking pieces of paper and drew a lot of lines. (Evelyn) We coloured bright bands of colour and we will add some special words to them tomorrow.
  • We did writing and wrote about the perfect classroom that we wanted and I wrote down that we could do more art so it could be more colourful in here. (Avery)
  • We did a school tour. (Rana & Zaeem)
  • We read with partners. (Sawyer)
See you tomorrow for another great day! Ms. Lysak will be dismissing Mrs. Seymour's students tomorrow, so if there are any problems, please feel free to connect with Ms. Lysak or Ms. Cose. Have a great day!
