Our VIPs from today:

Highlights from today:
 - we did an investigation and made our own boats they needed to move and float and hold a load of 20 glass beads, and it needed to move (Laith)
- it was class picture day and we were all at school:) (Aaron)
- In Visual journals we put in some words about the land and instead of lunch recess we watched a movie in our classroom. (Zaeem)
- In Pe we did cosmic kids yoga. (Addison)
-In writing we wrote about the land in Nova Scotia we added lots of detail to our writing. (Drew)

Some place value work in Math:

The Unsinkable Ship
Step 1: We watched the sinking of the Titanic. The unsinkable ship sank!

Step 2: We became engineers to design a boat that would:
a) float
b) hold a load of 20 glass beads
c) be waterproof
d) be stable
e) propel (move forward)

Step 3: Hypothesis and Testing!

Next steps: tomorrow we will reflect on what worked well and what didn't work great, and we will do some experiments to determine how we can improve our boats next time. We are so excited!

Ready for testing:

Testing our boats... we were impressed at all of the different designs!

These three remain... we'll evaluate the rest of the boats tomorrow!
