Boats that Float

VIPs for tomorrow: Abem and Aubrey

Celebrating today's VIPs:

Warm Feet for the Street is coming up on Thursday, December 5th from 6-8pm. Please send in items that we could fill socks with for our neighbours who attend The Mustard Seed. (e.g. travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, gift cards, bus tickets, etc.) If you would like to attend, please send back your form so we know how many people will attend. Please send in $5 for socks.

We are fortunate to have a Mounties on the Move kit for two weeks on loan from Fort Calgary. Forms were sent home to ask each family for $2 (you may send in or pay online) to cover the cost of the kit. Thank you so much!

Mrs. Seymour's class had a chance to experiment with materials that would float or sink. Two things we learned:
1) a stone is heavy and it will not float
2) plastiscene will SINK... but we made it float... can you?

Mrs. Cose's class had a chance to make boats propel today using three methods:
1) Paddle Boat
2) Jet Boat #1 (air above water)
3) Jet Boat #2 (water under the water to push/propel it forward)

In math today, we looked at ordering numbers in many different ways. We have been working on how to describe how we KNOW they're in order from least to greatest. Comment below with your child's response to this question: How do you know that 14 is less than 41?
