Disconnect Challenge starting on Monday

Today each class had some catch-up time to finish some things that we'd started this week.

For health, we talked about why and what we use media for. In our class, media/screen time is mostly used for entertainment when we're bored, video games, TV, etc., communication with others (necessary or for enjoyment), for learning/helping us with things (e.g. sleep apps, etc.). We also talked about how people also use media for their jobs, signing up for things, etc.

Starting on Monday, we would really love for you to please fill out the yellow media diaries that we sent home. There's a section for each day for one week (ending Sunday, February 16th, despite the typo). Although this is optional, we encourage you to discuss how positive media habits can impact your health in positive ways. We'll be collecting the information to use in discussions leading up to the *optional* media fast from February 17-21st. We'll have more information soon, but if you're interested in learning more, feel free to head to https://disconnectchallenge.ca/
