Thanks to Sawyer for making connections at home to what we learned about yesterday in CPAWS and for showing us something else cool about the Earth.
What did we learn today from CPAWS:
- we need to keep our water clean (Drayden)
- most of our water comes from the Bow River and the Elbow River (Ibrahim)
- we can help by using less water (Alexis)
- we should keep wetlands! (Chase)
- to clean your car you should go to the car wash because if you clean it on the driveway, soap will go down the drain to the storm ponds (Jaxon)
- dispose of paint properly at hazardous waste facilities (Alivia)
Tomorrow is compliment day! We talked briefly about the types of compliments that are meaningful. We'll write more about this tomorrow.
We are planning a pond walk on Friday because the weather is so nice!
